The idea of the project was to change the way a book makes us think, that is, it’s not just the content of a book but also the way one interacts with it. As the project progressed, the book developed into a piece of art in nature, made of plywood, leaves and recycled paper.
It can be read from either side. One side takes you through the positive change upon action towards climate change while the other through the negative impact of no action. The idea is to pull the leafy page (attached to a magnetic spine) in order to perform the action of ‘plucking’ to reveal the image below.
The illustrations in the book from the positive side show a progression of how the biodiversity grows. Whereas, from the negative side shows the degradation of biodiversity due to climate change.
