Many play-tests were done at various traditional and green schools, before the final structure and goals of the game were decided. For traditional learning (Image 01), this game could potentially initiate a new system for such schools. A successful test in green school (Image 02) led to understanding that this game can be readily implemented here.

Evaluation and implementation of feedback was monitored throughout the process.

Growing Minds is an educational game designed to nurture ecological awareness and systems thinking in children through play. Through collaborative challenges and ecosystem-building activities, the game helps children explore environmental relationships while developing skills such as problem-solving, adaptability, and creative thinking. The project was developed through iterative prototyping and playtesting with children and educators, allowing the gameplay to evolve into an engaging learning experience rooted in curiosity and collaboration.

Growing Minds has been recognized internationally for its contribution to Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). The project received the iF Design Student Award 2025 and was later exhibited at Dutch Design Week 2025 at BioArt Laboratories, where it invited visitors to engage with the idea that ecological understanding can begin with something as simple as play.

Growing Minds Global: A digital ecosystem that establishes a connection between green schools and their practices which is crucial to impact the general education system. By sharing their curriculum, alternative approaches, and ethos, these schools can influence the next generation and inspire other actors in the system to follow a similar path.

Growing Mind Teachers: Teacher training is vital for education. Workshops bring together teachers and provide them with alternative tools to teach and understand environmental education with a continuous program of three years. The manual is a document that provides resources for teachers to follow in their classes.
